Every year, World Space Week is held from October 4 - 10 as "an international celebration of science and technology, and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition" (United Nations).
To do our part in furthering the cause of World Space Week, we have developed a colouring booklet for children that contains 7 days' worth of activities. The booklet follows the adventures of Nova the astronaut, who embarks on a week-long tour of the solar system. The destinations that Nova visits were not arbritarily picked; instead, they correspond to the days of the week. For example, on Tuesday, October 4, Nova visits Mars, which is historically associated with Tuesdays. Each day also contains stargazing instructions to view the destionation that Nova visits. Have a look through the booklet, and print your own copy today!
